Back in 1976, Kenny Roberts on the Yamaha was the first painting I produced to have prints made to sell.
That makes 2026 my official, 50th anniversary of painting motorcycles!
You may have spotted the ‘since 1976’ anniversary t-shirts that Warren & I were wearing on the Hancox Art stall if you paid us a visit during the TT, hope you like it?
I still have the original painting of Kenny Roberts on the Yamaha and Kenny was kind enough to sign it for me – a truly treasured possession.
Incidentally, Kenny owns my original drawing of his great friend, Tom Herron – it’s on his office wall.
