We’ve teamed up with Guy Martin to raise funds for Helicopter Fund.
John’s created one of his popular motorcycle cartoons (see image below) depicting man of the moment Guy at Ginger Hall, putting in a bit of “unofficial” practice on the world famous mountain course.
Guy was keen to provide his support for the cause, having experienced first hand the fantastic service provided by the helicopter medics after “jumping ship” at Ballegarey during last year’s Senior race. “We ‘ave to put summat back don’t we…” said Guy, “them lads do a great job, yeah, I’m up for helping out.”
A limited edition of 50 prints of the cartoon have been signed by Guy and John and will be exclusively on sale at £30.00 from the “Roads Closed” exhibition which takes place at St Ninian’s Church, Douglas from 2nd to 10th June.
All profits from the sale of the limited edition prints will go to the Manx Grand Prix Supporters Club Helicopter Fund.
Prints are already selling fast but in the unlikely event of any of the prints remaining after the exhibition, they’ll be available here in the store after the exhibition.
The “Roads Closed” exhibition is organised annually by roadracingsuppoters.com in aid of the Rob Vine Fund and the Manx Grand Prix Supporters Club Helicopter Fund; it features original images by photographers with a love of road racing: there is something there for all road race fans and it should be on every TT fan’s “must see” list.
