Some of these names may be unfamiliar now but they built the foundations for what has become one of the oldest continuous motorsport events in the world.
Using a mix of skill and bravery, these riders pushed the limits with skinny tyres and poor brakes on gravel roads.
We want to make sure they’re remembered.
